In 1965 my parents moved back to the States after spending three years in Malawi, Africa. Their belongings were shipped (literally on a ship) in wooden crates. For years growing up we always had these slabs of wood from those crates in our garage. They recently found their way to my garage.
Determined not to haul this wood around for 43 more years I decided to hire the services of Brent Lenthal to convert them to something with longevity and immediate use.

I am thrilled with Brent’s craftsmanship and detail to what now will be a family heirloom. Mom and dad say the wood is Mlumbwa from Malawi.

Holy smokes, that is a beautiful table! Can we see more?
The table is circa 1998 by master hacks-man Kyle Dreier. The benches are circa 2008 by Brent Lenthal. I’ll take the (photography) credit for the way the table looks.
