Back in February we had an editorial shoot and decided to have a little fun capturing it on film.

So, now you can see what an eight hour day here in the studio looks like … condensed down to two minutes.

Special thanks, as always, to our fantastic team …

Rory White ~ first assistant, pancakeologist

Teresa Blackburn ~ food stylist, miracle maker

Nancy Vienneau ~ recipe developer, sunshine

Matt Huesmann ~ video producer, story teller

And me, Kyle Dreier ~ food photographer, mad scientist

This was fun and I’m getting giddy about our next video.

  1. BRAVO!
happy to be sunshine any day…

Somewhere in the footage you talk about the lemon cake you made being “sunny” or something like that. I couldn’t resist. :)

I loved the video! I’m a (very) new fan. Just found you today via twitter (someone posted a link) and I love your blog and photography. Just beautiful! Plus your writing is very funny and engaging. Can’t wait to read and see more.

Hi, I just found you today, love your site. A quick question, I saw your video and I wanted to ask you: what kind of table is the one you shoot at? I`m a beginner in food photography and this table looks really good to shoot, I want one!!! Thanks.

    • Kyle Dreier says:

Angie, I shoot on a variety of tables and surfaces. What you’re referring to might be white plexi. Typically we’re using sawhorses to hold up whatever surface we’re shooting on whether it be plywood, plexi, old wood planks, etc. All the best. – Kyle

  4. Mercy, this is the first time I have had to really look at this video and enjoy it and what fun! And what a fun day we all had together. I even laughed at myself! Thanks Kyle for so much fun while we worked. A good team! T
